Will I need to select a meal?
No meal selection is necessary. We've planned a delicious menu featuring beef, salmon, and seasonal sides.
What should I wear?
We’re going for Garden Party Formal. The evening will take place outdoors on grass and natural terrain, so we recommend comfortable, stable footwear.
Will there be a ceremony?
Yes! Our ceremony will take place the evening before in an intimate setting with immediate family. We look forward to celebrating with all of you afterward and will be happy to share photos from the ceremony.
Will the Reception be outdoors?
Yes, our reception will take place outdoors, including cocktails in the orchard. Early October in Northern Michigan can be crisp, especially in the evening. While the pavilion will be heated and cozy blankets available, we recommend bringing a light jacket or wrap for comfort after sunset.
We also have a backup plan in place should the weather not cooperate.
What time should I arrive?
We recommend arriving at the start of cocktail hour so you can fully enjoy the evening. If you prefer a more relaxed arrival, feel free to join us anytime within the first 30 minutes.
which airport should I fly into?
We recommend flying into Traverse City (TVC), which is the closest major airport to the Cherry Barn.
